Solar Cell Assemblies

Space solar cell assemblies are prefabricated functional units comprising high-efficiency space-grade solar cells integrated with interconnecting tabs, bypass diodes, and protective coverglass.

On each cell bypass diodes are incorporated to mitigate power loss and localized overheating under partial shading or cell degradation. The active cell area is protected by a bonded coverglass, with anti-reflection coating, providing shielding against radiation and ultraviolet exposure.

These assemblies are delivered as qualified, ready-to-install elements designed for direct integration into series- and parallel-connected strings, enabling efficient and repeatable build-up of complete solar panels for space applications.
